In 2008 our good friend Mr Sharpy (Nicola also helped) had a beautiful little girl who was born deaf. 

With the help of The Hearing Trust, Emily was identified to be suitable for cochlear implant and can now hear her daddies voice (Don’t worry, she also knows how to turn them off)

We will both be running the Great North Run (weeeeelllll, I’ll definitely do the whole 13.1 mile) this year to raise money for The Hearing Trust so they can continue to help many, many more families.
