He has been getting nagged for a long time about his hair. For many years, dad would take the clippers to him and his brothers, but then mum had compassion upon them when long hair for lads really became fashionable. Thus we have Ash's flowing locks and Boaz's Barnet Fair... until the 20th July that is.
Padrig, their older brother was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in August 2008. Pads cancer has relapsed twice and so he's making plans. His bucket list extends to well over four pages - much of it quite mundane and easy to fulfil. Number 2 on the list though was... "Get Asher scalped/skinheaded (or Boaz)". What are brothers for?!
Anyway, Asher eventually decided to keep his side of the bargain by going for sponsorship. He's chosen the Christian Lewis Trust as we've received a lot of support from them in various ways over the years.
