Hi everyone, As you all know it has been a pretty tough year so far. For those of you who don't know, this year i had to watch one of the strongest, most inspirational people fight a hard battle against Lymphoma. Sadly she was unable to fight, and for me i had to deal with the loss of someone incredibly special and close to me. It is due to this harsh disease that many lives are stolen from us, and for me the reality of Jon, my boyfriend, also suffering from this disease makes it even more of a reality.

Jon and I were fortunate enough to meet at a mutual friends barbaque 3 years ago. We have had many happy times together, but have learnt to support each other through the bad times also. Unfortunately this has had to be put to a difficult test recently, after finding out the news that he had a rare form of cancer, called Ewings sarcoma. He is currently undergoing treatment at Cheltenham general. At Cheltenham general he was placed on ward with another young man called Andy. Andy too is a sufferer of the awful disease, but together they have been able to provide support for eachother.

For both it is unknown how there lives will be affected by this tragic disease, but i have seen the pain and disruption that it causes to their lives, espeically such young lives. It is due to the amazing, supportive staff at the Cheltenham general, that has enabled my lovely Jon and Andy to cope as they have. It is due to their postive outlook and ability to allow families to come to terms with the tragic effects of the disease that helps us to cope as we do.

I am going to Australia this month where i will be facing my fears and plunging into a bungy jump. It would be so greatly appreciated if you were able to help me in raising some money which will be donated to an amazing charity. The charity Colbalt helps support cancer patients by providing equipment to support there ongoing treatment, funding for a new Cancer Information Centre and also DVD's, newspapers for their entertainment. Overall, maintaining normality in their otherwise transformed lives.
