I am doing this fundraiser on behalf of Watersafe uk search and rescue who provide an amazing community service, putting ourselves in danger to save people during crisis, we specialise in flood rescue which the UK is currently at threat from which is why capital FM are playing the flood advert over and over.

Not only do we rescue people in floods, we also search for missing people in water and work alongside the fire service and the police at many incidents. We also do forensic recovery for the police and have specialist equipment that no over national flood response service has.

When we go to call outs we are often leaving our jobs and family to go off for 4 days at a time to help day and night to keep people safe. This is done completely off our own backs which means we also do not get paid for this.

I don't like to use the term volunteer, we are unpaid professionals that doing amazing work, however without the support of the public, we could not do what we do.

I asking for your help to raise £680 which is the cost for just my personal equipment alone. This is the equipment that is necessary in order for me to go out with the team and help at major incidents, it's to keep me safe!!

So please look at this as investing in helping me stay afloat so I can help those who need help the most during a crisis.
