Children First is Scotland’s national children’s charity. We stand up for children, keep them safe and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national and local services.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Ashley & Steve's JustGiving page.

This year we've decided that rather than just running for ourselves and the sheer pleasure of hoofing it 26 miles round the streets of London, we would attempt to raise funds for a Scottish charity.  We both work in the Social Work Service and have ongoing experience of the issues faced by children, and those trying to help them.

Children 1st is a Scottish charity with over 125 years experience of working with children and families, previously as the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children (RSSPCC). Today, they support families under stress, protect children from harm and neglect, and help them to recover from abuse, and promote children's rights and interests.

Like most charitable organsations they need funds to continue to deliver their much needed services to children across Scotland. Any donation would be gratefully received, and go a long way to ensuring the outstanding work of this organisation continues to help those most vulnerable children in our society today.

So please help us to help them by donating whatever you can.

Thank you.

Ashley and Steve
