We are taking part in the Great Manchester Run on the 15th May 2011 to raise vital funds for the charity </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;"><span class="ecx381110614-05042011" style="text-indent: 0px !important;">ALD.org, ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy) is a rare, genetic terminal brain disorder mainly affecting apprently healthy young males. It doesn't just affect young boys as there are other manifestations of the disorder which can affect adult women and men too, affecting the nerves and spinal cords. If you have ever seen the film Lorenzo Oil (1992), this is the rare disease that the film documents. </span></span></span></strong></div>

ALD.org is purely funded by donations only, so raising funds for this charity is crucial to the survival of the sufferers of this disease. I have met families who have children with this disease and their courage and strength as well as their drive to raise awareness and funds was truly inspirational. </span></span></strong></div>
