National Three Peaks Challenge · 2 May 2015

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

On the 2nd May 2015 a joint team from Aspect Landscape Planning and Aspect Arboriculture are attempting to undertake the National 3 Peaks Challenge and hoping to raise as much money as possible for charity. The team is made up of Richard Curtis, James Bardey, Chris Jenkinson, Gavin Wright, Jamie Pratt, James Morton, Chris Watts and Bicky Sanghera with Alastair Macquire as the designated driver.

The challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales as well as getting to and from each of these within a single 24 hour period. The total distance walked is estimated at around 42 kilometres / 26 miles with a total ascent of 3,000 m or 9,800 ft. The three peaks are;

Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland at 1,344 m or 4,409 ft.

Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England at 978 m or 3,209 ft.

Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales at 1,085 m or 3,560 ft.

The challenge begins from the car park at the base of Ben Nevis in the morning of 2nd May, with the team tackling the mountains from north to south, and ends in the car park at the base of Snowdon the following day (hopefully in just under 24 hours). Training is well underway and the team will be undertaking the challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and we would be obliged if you could please sponsor us to make all the hard work worthwhile. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for your support.
