Exeter Cathedral to Truro Cathedral · 20 August 2010

Hospiscare provides free and specialised nursing to the terminally ill in Exeter, Mid and East Devon. It looks after more than 700 patients at any one time, supporting patients in their own homes and in its hospice. It relies on the generosity of the community to provide this vital service.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

This ride, from Exeter to Truro will be the first of a series of rides connecting all the cathedrals of England - all 63 of them in fact. It is a personal challenge for me but I am also raising much-needed funds for Hospiscare, a Devon-based charity serving the terminally ill in mid- and East Devon. There is an in-patient unit in Exeter itself, attached to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, a home visit nursing service throughout the area, and three daycare units; in addition it provides spiritual and bereavement support. The charity is extremely well thought of locally and, as a volunteer therapist at the Tiverton Daycare centre, I am very proud to be a part of it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
