My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
What could motivate an over-the-hill, overweight, out-of-shape, 30-a-day smoker to attempt an assault on Everest Base Camp? Fundraising for Bletchley Park of course!
Astrid Byro from ACCU has come up with her latest madcap fundraising idea. Please donate generously as she will be torturing herself to get in shape for this insane trek AND will have to quit smoking. ::faint::
Also follow her blog as she pursues her training programme, explores which are the best hiking supplies, etc. at Asti's Bletchley Challenge to Everest Base Camp.
Please also note that corporate fundraising opportunities are available! So if you would like a photo of your corporate logo flag flying at Base Camp or want me to wear sponsored logo clothing, I'm happy to do that. Bletchley Park was home to the WW2 Codebreakers whose breath-taking achievements helped shorten the war by two years saving countless lives. The Bletchley Park Trust's mission is to transform Bletchley Park into the world-class education and heritage site it deserves to be reflecting the profound significance of its impact on WW2, the twentieth century and the way we all live today.
