Thank you to everyone who supported us!
My wife Jan and son James have done the GEAR run for the last 2 years so I was shamed into doing it with them this year. Going to the gym is an alien concept for me so doing 10k without being chased by a large predator is a major challenge.
All funds raised go to Break's Moving On work with with young people who have left care and need a lot of help to make it in the adult world. Most of us had this support from our parents or family at such a crucial crucial time in our lives - it is really tough if for whatever reason that support is not there.
All donations gratefully received - see you at the finishing line...or A and E.
Thanks
Chris
Jan's Story
In a euphoric state having successfully completed the GEAR run last year, I rather foolishly cajoled Chris into entering in 2012. I now feel duty bound to enter again !! Despite being another year older, I am hoping to beat my time from last year and will again be raising funds for BREAK. It is a great cause - please support us.
James completed the race dressed as Batman last year, but think he may be sporting more tradiitonal dress this year. Being a fit young adult we are sure he will complete it in good time again, racing past his Mum and Dad at an early stage!!
