Story

Manchester Marchers - Team Biography

We are the Manchester Marchers, and are participating in the 2016 Atkins Graduate Charity Challenge. Based out of the Manchester office, we are looking not only to raise a staggering £2,000, but more importantly we wish to raise awareness of Redr UK and the work they carry out globally.

Our goal is to walk a gruelling 52 KM to the Warrington office and back to Manchester. We ask you kindly for any donations no matter how big or small. We will also be carrying out a number of other fundraising events in the office, including cake sales and a grand raffle with a top prize being a Landrover experience day at Peckforton Castle!!! Please get involved and support a fantastic charity...

About Redr UK

Redr UK is a remarkable charity that helps build the skills of national aid workers in disaster-prone countries.

From building water sanitation facilities in the poorest parts of Sudan, to rescue efforts in disaster stricken Bangladesh, Redr UK provides the necessary training for workers to prepare and respond to major disasters saving the lives of many.

The training and support provided by Redr UK ensures that vital skills and knowledge remain in-country, where they're needed most. This provides communities with the skills they require in order to prepare for, and deal with, natural disasters.

Having trained 4,195 people across 35 countries in 2015-16, Redr UK now needs your help to further its work and improve the livelihoods and sustainability of these communities for the years to come. As a corporate partner Atkins strive to offer as much support as possible and help raise the funds needed to continue their great work.
