We are planning to run a 10k pick-up relay around Draycote Water on Saturday 28th August 2010 to raise money for Caring for Life.  In the pick-up relay Angela will start the run and Tim, Lydia and David will join in along the route so we will all cross the finish line together! 

10k is roughly 6.21 miles.  Draycote is about 4.7 miles so we will run one circuit plus an overlap.  Here is a map of the route: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/route-231592.  It starts on the north side of Draycote, near Thurlaston and ends just before we pass the cafe for the second time!

Caring for Life is a registered Christian charity (reg. no. 519138) based in Leeds.  Their work involves providing accommodation, daytime activities and support to homeless and vulnerable people, young and old.  As a family have visited Caring for Life and seen first hand the valuable work they do, that is why we have all been inspired to stage this sponsored run.
