RedR UK strengthens the capacity of agencies, aid workers and affected communities to prepare, respond, and recover from disaster. We enable effective, inclusive, and sustainable response to complex humanitarian crisis.

Story

Another year, another army of Atkins Graduates ready to raise money for our company charity, RedR UK!

Atkins is a Patron of RedR and has supported the Charity with an annual donation and various fundraising events, including the Graduate Charity Challenge, for a number of years.

RedR is an international disaster relief charity that gives people the skills to prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters and conflict. The charity trains thousands of people each year, ensuring they can get clean water services running again, prevent a cholera outbreak, test the safety of a building after an earthquake and much more.

Citizens are always the first responders to a disaster. That’s why RedR builds the skills of national aid workers working for local organisations, to ensure skills remain in-country for the long term and that communities won’t be beaten by disasters.

The Charity Challenge takes place over 7 weeks, and each Graduate Team can be found on the Atkins Graduate Charity Challenge Team page: www.justgiving.com/teams/AtkinsGrads2016
