St Brides Managers challenged Augentius to a Paralympic Sports Tournament, Augentius of course took up the challenge, and in September two teams of staff will compete in Wheelchair Basketball to help raise money for Boost Charitable Trust.
The individuals representing Augentius for this event are –
Walter Davis, Nnamdi Austin-Anukem, Shamyl Khushal, Kylie Marshall, J.P. Harrop, Joe Greenwell, Fu Hing Pang, Dipan Shah, Kodorul Amin, Gareth Davies, Ankit Verma and Hugh Stacey
Boost Charitable Trust was created in 2005 to Build On Over-looked Sporting Talent, to champion the disabled and disadvantaged and to inspire them to overcome their challenges through the power of sport. The main purpose of the evenings is to give everybody an insight into two great Paralympic sports before 2012. There will be professionals attending who will give us some coaching and then each team will have a professional (i.e. a Great Britain Team Paralympic professional!) on their side. The Wheelchair Basketball will be held at Southbank University, near Elephant and Castle on Monday 26 September from 6.00 to 9.00 p.m. so any spectators are welcome.
The Augentius Charitable Foundation has offered £750 towards the £1,000 needed for two teams to enter. The balance of £250 still needs to be raised so please donate all you can to this valuable cause.
Thanks to everyone who donates, your support is greatly appreciated!
