Story
There are only a few other people in this world who undertstand how slowly 50 miles can pass as you drive to the hospital on a Jubilee bank holiday morning because a nurse has rung and asked you to go over, but can't tell you any more over the phone. Who experienced a surreal day together as a family, in tiny room barely big enough for two. Who kissed their nephew/grandson/son goodbye that evening.
Running this race won't erase those memories. Nothing ever will. But it will raise awareness of the condition that took a bright little boy from us, and hopefully raise vital funds to researching and developing treatments to tackle it.
