Story

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read my waffle.

Seriously, thank you.

I haven't been pushing for sponsorship this year. Hence the modest target.  If I'm honest (and I try to be) I entered this marathon for my own selfish reasons, to give myself a kick up the arse (sorry mum), and give myself a goal, because... well... I'm getting old aren't I?

Yes, a marathon is tough, but I (sort of) enjoy it. I wouldn't have entered otherwise. It was my choice. It was because I wanted to.  That being said, however, it is NOT easy and knowing that some money is going to this great cause will heaps so much!

Note:  I did actually manage very well with my training initially but an injury has meant these last 5 weeks before the marathon have contained little or no running so it's going to be even harder than it should be.

Besides all that, I think both of my friends have had enough of me boring them now. So I am setting this page up purely for anyone who shows interest.

As you are reading this, you must have shown at least some interest, so "thank you!" again :-)

The Rutland House School for Parents is a brilliant local (to Nottinghamshire) charity providing support to children with disabilities by providing support, advice and education to their parents about how best to help their son/daughter with the big and little things of life.

Even if you feel you can't give anything, PLEASE watch the video by clicking on their website >>>>HERE<<<<< so you can see the kind of stuff they do and help spread awareness.

My friends have had first hand experience of their brilliantness (I know it's 'brilliance' really but this way I got to make the point twice) and said the School For Parents were invaluable to them and their little boy.

...But it would be great if you did ;-)
