Story

I am collecting for a conservation project that I have been working with for the past 7 months, the Udzungwa Forest Project based in Tanzania. To raise money I will be staying in an enclosure at Flamingo Land Zoo for 5 days, followed by a 10 mile run on the day I am released (I have never ran 10 miles before so I am expecting to be in a lot of pain, but it's all worth it!!).

The charity works with local people to help protect the Udzungwa forest. The forest contains a huge number of endemic animals and trees (unique to that area), and is unfortunately in great danger of being completely lost over the next ten years.

Your money will go towards helping with sustainability programmes, such as tree planting schemes, fuel efficient stoves, and fuel briquettes - all of which will help reduce the demand on the local forests. As well helping pay the Tanzanian team that collect data on the trees and animals.

Thank you for all your support!!
