The event is the Great Expectations bike ride from London to Rochester, which apparently is about 50 miles.  I cycle regularly, but rarely more than 6 or 7 miles at a stretch, so this is going to be pretty challenging - especially if steep hills are involved!

The charity is called Healthprom, and you can read more about what the bike ride will be supporting here: http://www.greatexpectationsride.org.uk/  In a nutshell, it is about providing support for vulnerable mothers and children in Tajikistan.
