In fond memory of Suzy Quartermain

St Richard's Hospice Worcestershire Way Walk · 9 July 2021 ·
This is the very least I can do to support St Richards Hospice and all their marvellous staff. Suzy spent long periods of time in hospital over the last 7 and a half years, and Suzy didn't want to go back to hospital at any point after the final diagnosis. Fortunately Suzy was referred to the hospice for support in her precious final weeks.
Sadly Suzy, my loving wife, and adoring mum to Daisy and Thomas lost the toughest fight on the 31st March 2021. The care that the hospice gave, before admission at home, and during the final weeks as an in patient was something I'll never forget. The level of care, and compassion shown to Suzy, myself, and the children was heart warming, and it gets me emotional every time I think about it. Nothing was ever a problem, and you were made to feel like you were the only people there, even under the added pressures of Covid.
I'll never be able to do enough for all of the people who cared for Suzy, but at least this is a start, and is a positive way to honour her memory, and to acknowledge the care given to Suzy, and the ongoing support being given to Daisy and Thomas.
I just hope Suzy keeps the rain off for the day!
Thank-you for taking the time to read Suzy's story, and please, if you can make a donation to show your support. Thank-you again.
