We DID it......the 120" Viaduct wasn't available so we had a smaller but challenging drop to tackle - as it wasn't as high  we did it twice and added an extra climbing challenge - Check out the Video on YouTube: YHA Breaks 4 Kids Challange Ade&Dave (IF you can youtube!!)

I work for a charity - bet you didn't know/hadn't noticed that!? Well the operations team in YHA - those of us running Hostels, though lets face it I haven't done any real work for years....have taken up the challenge of raising £25,000 for our Breaks 4 Kids Charity - See Below.

My team of Hostels in South Devon and Cornwall wants to raise over £2000 towards that total.........they have baked cakes, washed cars, cleared out the attic, floated lemons, counted shells and generally bribed and blackmailed their guests, friends and family.......NOW CAN YOU HELP??

To do my bit and thanks to Okehampton YHA Activity Centre I'm about to throw myself off another cliff - (you may know what happened last time)......this time WITH a rope - though I'm still in control of it.......

David my Fellow Ops Manager and I will be dropping off a VERY high cliff and unless we both raise some funds they won't promise to tie on that rope.......So PLEASE give generously or I'm in trouble........

I've now discovered the location and I quote:

"it will be quite impressive because of the freefall over the cave"............Bring on Saturday morning.......!!

Breaks 4 Kids is a fund which offers financial assistance to disadvantaged children and young people staying at youth hostels as part of an organised group. We help to fund youth group and school trips for children from low-income households, by contributing up to 50% of the cost of their YHA accommodation and food. This gives children who would otherwise be left behind, the chance to be included in the trip with the rest of their group.
