The Bouncy Bike Challenge No 13 · 22 May 2015

We're Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We care for children throughout Scotland with life-shortening conditions and their families. We make sure that no matter how short their time together may be, it is filled with happiness. Even in the pain of grief, we're determined that joy lives on.

Story

Thank you for visiting the BBC 13 Team JustGiving page. A group of unusual shaped, slighty wacky but generally well-meaning friends are giving up a normally sedate weekend in May to undertake an 80 mile bike challenge over 2 days - team list at the end of this story. The challenge known as 'The Bouncy Bike Challenge' will involve biking up and down Loch Lomond (the land bit) and an off road route into the heart of Glasgow. The event will be supporting the very excellent Childrens Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS).

The brave team are looking forward to scenic views, mountain vistas and warm local culture to help them through their ordeal/challenge but are well aware that they will have to suffer a bit of 'hot bottom rash' on the way...but it is all for an exceptionally worthwhile cause.

A bulk order of lubricated lycra, pre-warmed vasaline and mushed bananas has been ordered to assit the team with their arduous challenge ahead - think baboons bottoms

Any donation and motivational comment you can give the team will be very much appreciated by the team but far more importantly by the families that CHAS support. There is absolutley no pain in the biking challenge or any other world that can ever compare to the pain of losing a child...CHAS are there to support families affected in an incredible manner giving the best quality of life possible in an unimaginable situation.
