Our cutters crews are a group of staff we should be proud of; for the last six months they have been deployed to the mediterranean as part of the UK contribution to helping with the increased migration. In that time they have not only helped rescue migrants from unsuitable or unsafe boats, but they have also  caught a significant number of people smugglers. 

Next week they are  visiting  Gibraltar to conduct training exercises with HM Customs Gibraltar and the Royal Gibraltar Police. 

On Monday 28th September the crew is taking part in the Gibraltar Rock Run.  This event is well - known and for many years each time a Royal Navy ship puts into port at Gibraltar, the ship's company take part in a run to the top of the Rock. 

It is an honour for them to be part of this tradition and they  are determined to use the event to raise money for Help for Heroes; Border Force's Charity Partner 2015-16. This is so special as this is a team who have already done so much to help others. The money they raise from this event will help wounded, injured and sick service men and women.
