Story
Anna fell ill with cancer during her second Land's End to John O’Groats cycling challenge. She had to abandon that ride, and never completed it. On 1 September BHPC members Claire King and Adrian Setter will set off from Dunnet Head on their own 1,035-mile, pedal-powered end-to-end journey, due to arrive at Lizard Point on 15 September 2013. Their ride is inspired by Anna’s enthusiasm for life, and is dedicated to her memory.

**********
Many of you will know Anna Jenkins and her "Ratty" from the races, and more of you will know her husband Kevin from behind the scenes on the race software and timing system.
For many years Anna fought an incurable and rare cancer (discovered part way through her 2nd end-to-end cycle challenge) - whilst being fabulously looked after by the Royal Marsden. Anna herself, tirelesly fundraised during this time through holistic events, swap shops and quilting events. Unfortunately, in December 2010 Anna lost her fight and we lost a wonderful friend.
At the BHPC AGM in October 2010 a unanimous vote to donate £500 to the Royal Marsden was taken - which Anna and Kevin both knew of.
Also in order to show club support to the Royal Marsden for looking after Anna and Kevin through the good times and bad it was voted to create this page where we encourage members, friends and family to "do something for Anna" by helping the Royal Marsden.
Whether you run 10k, cycle 50 miles, climb a mountain or ford a stream, do something to follow the rainbow ... and help the Marsden find a cure and support those like Anna with this disease.
Better still make a donation and let us know what you're up to!
