Christian Aid is a wonderful charity determined to impact on poverty, hardship and inequality around the globe. 

Well we did it, 170 miles later, it was a beautiful first day. The sun shone from the onset and despite a 3am start in order to catch the trains, we had a glorious cycle through. Guildford Cathedral, Winchester Cathedral, Mottisfant Abbey before making our way to a lovely campsite in Sherfield English and arriving at 18:30pm. We all stuffed our face with a BBq and settled down for the night.

Day two started early at 6am with a call to breakfast, sitting on the saddle proved to be a little sore. Especially after 89mile the day before. It was only twelve soak filled miles before we arrived at Salisbury Cathedral and then another 30miles of torrential rain before a brief cafe stop. After suffering a puncture, me and 3others who kindly waited for the repair were behind, then came my favourite part of the journey! from Southbourne to Sandbanks along the beach front at 25mph. It really was amazing, and the weather had just started to improve. Needless to say the ferry over to Corfe and then a 20mile stretch eventually brought us into Weymouth to cheering family and a warm pint of Guinness.
