My colleagues and I from HMP Kilmarnock are doing a trek up Ben Nevis on 29th May 2010 raising money for the Combat Stress charity and Hollybush House in Ayr

We work in a very stressful environment everyday where we are shouted, screamed at and assaulted? But everyday we get up and go to work. Serving members of the Armed Forces are no different except they get up, get shot at, and are thousands of miles from home and only get to see their families every so often... the ones that make it home that is.

For those who arrive back in the UK injured either physically or mentally where is the help they need??? it's in the caring hands of the people who run and work for Combat Stress.

By donating even the smallest amount of money via this site you are adding to vital funds that can provide a soldier  a day in respite care, provide vital physiotherapy machines to aid rehabilitation, provide counselling support for someone with PTSD, the list is endless.

I have seen first hand the trauma of war and what it can do to people and hope that you appreciate what the men and women of the Armed Forces do everyday, whether they agree with the politics or not they are there keeping us safe.

Thank you for taking the time to read this page and donating to a very worthwhile cause.
