Story
Here at Birchwood Price Tools, we pride ourselves on our “Work Hard, Play Hard” business ethic.
During 2012 we’re looking to turn the play element into raising money for charity.... We are all too aware of how challenging the economic climate is and of course of the charity beginning at home element which is why we are not asking for ground breaking amounts...
Each participant will be challenged to raise a further £500 each from family and friends.
Our team of walkers, including Managing Director Paul Nieduszynski and Sales Director Paul Simpson, are to complete the Lyke Wake Walk. Which is a complete crossing of the North Yorkshire Moors along their main east-west watershed between the Stone at grid reference 470994 and the Trig point at 971012, a distance of approximately 40 miles. At the moment we have some 30 participants from BPT that are looking to complete the walk which should lead to a fantastic turn out and fundraising event.
The walk starts at midnight one night and MUST be finished no later than 24 hours later. The map below sketches out the line of the Walk:
We are going to complete the walk on one of the longest days of the year which will be the 16 of June.
The plan is for all walkers and supporters to travel to the start point by minibus on Friday evening, start the walk Friday around midnight finishing by midnight on the Saturday.
As I have mentioned all our walkers will be tasked with raising a minimum of £500... Donations made on this page will be acknowledged and thanks given by all the team members.
