In aid of : Great Ormond Street Hospital, The
A group of 5 friends Sean Balmford, Paul Merrington, Richard Robins, Daniel Stewart and Sean Snell are going to be undertaking a huge physical (and mental!!) challenge. Also joining them in the SUPPORT vehicle will be the invaluable Johnny wheels the driver and his right and sometimes left hand man Co-pilot groggy.
We will be cycling (pedal) from Brentwood in Essex to Barcelona yes Barcelona in Spain. This is in aid of 3 tremendous charities, Great Ormond Street Hospital (a place that some members of the trip have come to greatly appreciate, their children having been treated there in the past and needing continued care in the future), The YJS Trust http://www.yjstrust.com/index.php for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity (alternative treatment centre in Essex) and SNAP http://www.snapcharity.org/ a Brentwood based charity for children with Special Needs And their Parents.
The Money you donate will be distributed via The YJS Trust to the three Charities.
This epic journey will take place between Friday the 10th and Sat the 18th of September 2010. Therefore aiming to complete the 1000 plus miles in a total of 9 days from start to finish all of us riding the full distance through France to Barcelona via some of the famous Pyrenean Mountain passes
