Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you will know, but some may not, Josh was diagnosed with Langerhans' Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) in October 2010 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and steroid treatment at the RVI in Newcastle. LCH is very rare with only around 50 cases in children being diagnosed each year and the cause of it is unknown.
We have had a tough few months, but Josh is a little star, taking everything in his stride.
Josh will have treatment for between 12-18 months and at the end of this, his consultant hopes that he should make a full recovery, but every child diagnosed with the disease is not as fortunate as Josh.
Brett and his friends have decided to do the C2C on the 11th June 2011 to raise money for the Histiocytosis Research Trust which was formed to provide and fund research into the causes, treatment and cures of histiocytoses.
We would be really grateful if you could donate whatever you are able to our cause, no matter how large or small as every little helps to try to find out more about LCH.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Love and best wishes,
Brett, Kathryn, Katie, Josh and Lily xx
