Story

Updated on Sep 3rd 2012 at 5:00 PM from the JustGiving API

Race day is this Sunday. We are going to squeeze in one more training session so we are firing on all cylinders for the big race.

Thanks for taking the time to visit The BRaGons JustGiving page.

If you live in the UK you have, on average, a one in three chance of developing cancer at some point in your life. If you do, early diagnosis and prompt treatment will improve the likelihood of you surviving the disease. At Kingston Hospital they have earned a reputation as a major cancer unit. The latest performance indicators show that thier survival rates for patients with the three commonest cancers — breast, colorectal and lung — are among the best in the country. They treat up to 2,000 new cancers each year. But more can be done to enhance the facilities and environment, and to expand the range of treatments and follow-up services provided on site

Therefore the local BRaG community have decided to enter the Kingston Dragon Boat Race and raise money for Kingston Hospital Cancer Unit Appeal.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

The Dragon boat race is on the 15th July 2012 so why not come down to the Canbury Gardens and support us.
