Story

Thanks for visiting the Just Giving page for Grant Cassie and Eoin Coull's Land's End to John O'Groats (LeJog) charity Cycle 2012. We have decided to raise money for Diabetes UK as the charity is dear to our heart. Our friend Allan Ross died suddenly from the illness, aged only 24 years old. He was a pupil at Kiltearn Primary and Alness Academy. He is survived by John and Kathryn (Kate), his brother Brian and sister Lynda and remembered fondly by many friends.

So what is different about our LeJog cycle. Well on the 2nd of June 2012 we intend to do an unsupported cycle from the bottom of the UK taking in such places as Wales (Snowdonia & Horse shoe pass), Wye Valley, Lake District and the isle of Arran until we arrive in John O'Groats. We intend doing over 1000 miles with our touring bicycles (one of which is nearly as old as the cyclist) with full panniers and a tent each to keep the British weather and Scottish midges off us at night. What makes it even more difficult is Grant has not long had a hip replacement and Eoin only starting cycling with any great enthusiasm in June 2011. At the ages of 36 and 37 years old you would think we should know better!
Please give generously and help a great cause. Thank You.
