In memory of our beautiful baby girl Ruby.

Our story
On the 11th October 2021 our world was turned upside down when our beautiful baby girl, Ruby, was born sleeping at 27 weeks + 4 days.
Ruby was so perfect! So pretty with the cutest button nose. After her birth, we held her, we sang to her, we read to her, we cuddled her. We love her and miss her everyday.
After Ruby died, Life went dark for a long time. Along with our family and friends, SANDS have helped us navigate through this impossibly dark time. On my darkest days, when all I could do was cry, I knew I could pick up the phone to SANDS and there would always be someone there that would listen and sit with me in my grief. We are forever grateful for their support that is still ongoing.
Ruby would be turning 1 on 11th October. For her birthday we would like to continue raising money for SANDS. Olly (Ruby's dad) will be ‘running for Ruby’ in both the Bristol and the Cardiff half marathons, then a 100km challenge in 2023. And although I can’t run yet I will be walking 300,000 steps in October to raise awareness of baby loss.
I know lots of you have already contributed to our page last year and we are so grateful but if you would like to donate even £1 towards Ruby’s birthday, it will really help family’s like us.
Last year
We were overwhelmed by your love and support last year when Olly and I, my lovely sister and Ruby’s Auntie Kelly, Ruby’s Uncle Tom and our good friend Jack ran the Brighton Half marathon raising nearly £4000 for Sands.
A supportive mum shared a quote with me and I would like to share it with anyone else going through trying times. ‘ it was so dark all I could see was the lights in my life.’ Raising money in Ruby's memory, to support other families, feels like a light out of this dark time for me.
Love Richael, Olly, Bonnie, Ruby and Teddy xx
