25th October 2012. A time in the future. 4 young men are on the verge of undertaking a previously inconceivable challenge. To drive from London, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to Milan, the second largest municipality in Italy, in two days. "What's so inconceivable about that?" I hear you ask, and rightly so, as it is a perfectly navigable route along the motorways, autoroutes and autostrada of Europe.

But get this. They must complete the challenge in a car worth less than £500, but complying with all relevant regulations imposed upon the road users of Europe. Not only this, but they must complete various challenges on the way, testing the mental and physical powers to the limit. And all this, not for pleasure, but to raise money for charity.

"Well that does seem to be quite a challenge and surely worthy of my support, but is there something else that really makes this stand out?" I hear you enquire. Indeed there is. For these young men will also be paying homage to Alan Partridge, that fine broadcaster and philanthropist. Quite how, you'll have to wait and see.
