The Great North Air Ambulance Service keeps families together by saving lives. We provide critical care 365 days a year to the people of the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.

Story

For three years I have been participating in sponsored rides organised by the Boundary 500 Motorcycle group and in that time, the group has raised over a quarter of a million pounds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service and Zoe's Baby Hospice. Boundary 500 is the single largest contributor to the GNAAS

Because I will be performing an administrative task for the group this year, I will not be able to participate in the sponored rides, so I am striking out on my own with:

THE BANZAI WEEKEND

On Friday, May 21st 2010, at 15:30 I will set off from Alston on my Suzuki DL1000 Vstrom and Ride 300 miles to the New Forest where I will bivouac overnight. On the Saturday morning I will ride to Lands End and thence directly to John o Groats covering a distance of just over 1000 miles within 24 hours. On Sunday 23rd I will complete the 400 leisurely miles back to Cumbria. A total distance of just short of 1800 miles in just over two days.

Please help me to raise funds for the GNAAS by giving as much as you feel able here. £1 or £100 it matters not.

Many thanks
