We support people living with a life limiting illness, & their families, helping them maintain independence & dignity. We believe everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives. To achieve this, our expert team work in people’s homes & at the Hospice to offer specialist care.

Story

Father and 2 sons are doing the 270 mile walk from Edale in Derbyshire up over the pennines, over Hadrians wall into Scotland and ends 19 days later in Kirk Yetholm.

we are starting the walk at the south (Edale) on the 24th August 2009

A survey by the National Trails agency reported that a walker covering the entire length of the trail is obliged to navigate 287 gates, 249 timber stiles, 183 stone stiles and 204 bridges. 198 mile of the route is on public footpaths, 70 mile on public bridleways and 20 mile on other public highways. The walker is aided by the provision of 458 waymarks
