The BRRR Island challenge is a sponsored paddle race around Burgh Island in Devon to raise money for LifeWorks and their event, 'Breaking the Barrier', which involves introducing youngsters aged 8-25, with learning disabilities to the experience of surfing!

I am doing this as part of the Paulo Memorial Fund which was set up in April 2010 in loving memory of our friend Paul Brewer. Over the last two years it has achieved some fantastic things and raised money for a number of charitable causes, please check them out at http://www.paulomemorial.org.uk

The race starts at 4pm on Sunday 1st July 2012. We will be paddling on surfboards around Burgh Island which is 800 meters off the coast of Devon and 1 mile in perimeter!
