Barney was just twenty-one years old when he took his life. 1,760 young men kill themselves each year, often unable to express their unhappiness while they can still be helped; leaving behind devastated families and friends. But depression can hit anyone at any time.
Barney's parents and his brothers, Dom, Tristan and Charlie, have asked that donations in his name be given to the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, which aims to raise awareness, recognition and treatment of depression through the training of medical and supporting professionals plus outreach and intervention in schools, universities and beyond.
