On 22nd April I will be running the Virgin London Marathon and would like to dedicate it to the memory of my father-in-law, Ron Hutton who died recently.  Over bygone years Ron did a lot of fundraising for Watford and District Mencap who have provided a lifetime of great care for his daughter (my sister-in-law) Monica, who to this day enjoys the love and care they provide.

 

Sponsoring me will help Mencap with the wonderful work they do in support of people with learning disabilities in the community and spur me on to complete what I’ve promised myself will be my last marathon (don’t make any bets on that one).

 

What’s more, for every £1 you donate to Mencap Watford my company, Network Rail, will donate a further £1 to the company’s Charity of Choice, Action for Children, helping to create brighter futures for some of the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people across Britain.
