Being diagnosed with a terminal illness can turn your world upside down. We're here to help people make the most of the time they have left, and provide expert care so that they can die with dignity. Your donation today will help us to be here for people in East London when they need us.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my London Marathon JustGiving page.

A lot of you will know, every 2 years I try and crank up the body over the London winter and run the London Marathon to raise funds for St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney. This will be my 3rd and possibly last effort at the marathon as I think in age and reality are catching up with me. A lot of you will also know St Joseph's is a hospice in Hackney that services the local east London community. It is a hospice that depends upon significant donations to keep the doors open to one of the most economically challenged areas in London.

This year I have an added incentive, as just over a year ago I lost a mate to cancer. He was fortunate in that he was able to spend his final days surrounded by his family and friends. A number of patients at St Joseph's are not as fortunate and St Joseph's provides this environment for many during these hard times.

I appreciate any donation to this worthy cause and any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to St Joseph's and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
