Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

The XLP Research Trust promotes and funds medical research into a potential cure for XLP, a rare always life taking genetic disease that affects only boys. The charity also acts as a support hub for families affected by XLP worldwide and looks to raise the awareness of this awful disease.

Story

Well, it's true, i've somehow gotten myself into running a Marathon.

The lucky event is the Virgin London Marathon on 25th April 2010.

This gives me mere months to hone my skills and get in shape for what i imagine will be the most physically demanding test of my life.

As much as this sounds fun on its own, I'm running this event in aid of the XLP research trust,.

XLP is a horrible disease which up until a few years ago i had never even heard of. Affecting only boys and always fatal with out treatment, the research trust aims to increase awareness and strives advance the treatment currently available. Any donation to this would be greatly appreaciated and will probably make me run faster! For more info, please visit thir page at http://www.xlpresearchtrust.org/

Well time to hit the road!

Barry
