Jeremy's Everest Base Camp Challenge

Everest Base Camp · 6 November 2014
I consider myself to be very lucky. I've had 2 major heart operations, the second of which was to replace my leaking Mitral Valve and replace it with a Titanium valve. This was in 1995. Whilst I was in Southampton General Hospital, my parents were able to stay at Heartbeat House, a house less than 2 minutes walk away from the Hospital main entrance, for free. So I knew that they were always close. 17 years later, It's about time I repaid them, whilst also doing myself good, In June 2012 I decided it was time to lose weight and get fit, It's now January and I've lost 2 and a half stone and am feeling much fitter. I'm looking to raise a minimum of £3850 for Wessex Heartbeat so I can trek to Everest Base Camp, a trek that is going to severely push me to my limit... A limit i'm looking forward to hitting.
