Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Story

The younger brother of my best friend, died from Meningitis on Thursday the 26th of April 2007 at the age of 11 years. Harry’s short life was extinguished in a single day by this terrible disease. To help try to prevent other families going through such a devastating tragedy in the future, Mike and I are running the Bath Half Marathon on the 14th March, in memory of Harry Mills, and to raise money for The Meningitis Research Foundation. We have been training for a while now and are both aiming to run sub 2 hrs to challenge ourselves and give more reason for people to donate! A recent addition to the team is Jaxx, who only has had a couple of weeks of training, so a brave effort with lots of support deserved for her on the big day.

Please help us, by donating through this page, no matter how small your contribution, in the words of Tesco, 'every little helps!' We really appreciate your generosity, and hopefully with enough people's support, we can help make a difference in fighting this horrific disease.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you!

** Last minute runner, SAM WALKER, thanks for joining our worthy cause!
