On Sunday June 5 2011 I, James Johns have set a personal fun challenge to try and raise some awareness and serious money for a few charities a dear and much missed friend of mine is still doing a great deal for, although sadly my friend is no longer with us – which is why I am intent on continuing to support his charitable donations however I can.

If you do not already know of Neil’s storey please do take a few minutes to read of our tragic loss at the website set up by his family http://site.neildesai.com/STORY.html

Neil was a great friend to me and everyone I know of who ever spent any time with him would agree he was a great friend to them as well.

Most of all he was a very bright, fun leader who always set by example and also his ambitions kept him going – he never needed to follow anyone else’s path. Since his passing I like to think this is how I try live and continue to follow my own ambitions the courageous way he always followed his.

In Light of such a Fun, outgoing human I have set this challenge to only be perceived as Fun, Outgoing and courageous.

On Sunday June 5 2011 I will complete my very own SUPERHERO CYCLE CHALLANGE, Across London from the East End, to Kingston upon Thames dressed as Batman himself – and at current, by myself.

I hope to stop off a various tourist points around the capital, Pose for pictures, Collect donations and generally act as Batman on a bike. I will also from now until that date, endlessly grovel into anyone’s ears willing to listen to raise money for the charities that Neil has chosen to raise for.

The route is about 17.3miles across town. But I hope to do about 20 miles in that day and pick up on some extra tourist hot spots around the town.

Please support me in doing this. I will post pictures of the day at all the hot spots, of any adventures I take on in the form of batman and the push bike itself in all its glory.

Any expenses including costume will come out of my own pocket. Any other super heroes that wish to join me on this Epic Adventure please do get in contact with me ASAP (only requirements are a genuinely good costume | a bike | and the determination of a superhero). It’s all in the name of a great causes such as CRY – cardiac risk in the young, and KIVA The Foundation also supports Sports in the Community and Schools and Academic Achievement.
