 John Grehan is a professional military historian, having written or edited more than 300 books and magazine articles, covering a wide span of history from the Iron Age to the present conflict in Afghanistan. He is currently employed as the Assistant Editor of Britain at War Magazine. John lives in Sussex.

Based on early sources, the terrain of the battlefield and archaeological evidence John Grehan argue the traditional site of the Battle of Hastings is incorrect. Grehan, with Martin Mace, has authored a book on the subject entitled The Battle of Hastings 1066 - The Uncomfortable Truth: Revealing the True Location of England's Most Famous Battle.
