Carole Divall has made her name understanding and interpreting the daily life of the Napoleonic era through books such as " Redcoats Against Napoleon: The 30th Regiment During the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars"

The Battle of Waterloo was the climactic battle of the Napoleonic era and the only battle in which Napoleon faced the Duke of Wellington. The battle for the fortified farm buildings in front of the allied line was key to the allied victory.
