Story
I'm running my first marathon this year in aid of the London Ambulance Service's adopted charity, the Ben Kinsella Trust. The charity was set up by Ben's family after he was stabbed to death so that other families won't go through what they have.
The Ben Kinsella Trust is involved in educating children of all ages about the consequences of knife crime. children as young as primary school can be taught about the effects knives have on families and discouraged from picking up a weapon. From my work reviewing the ambulance service's treatment of the most seriously injured victims, I know that frequently the victims of knife crime are incredibly young
Knife crime is a widespread and daily occurrence in London. The Ben Kinsella Trust promotes knife crime awareness so that everyone is aware of this major social problem. Ben Kinsella was a promising student who was stabbed after an argument he wasn't involved in after celebrating the end of his GCSE exams.
Please support my first ever marathon run and the Ben Kinsella Trust by giving what you can to help them reach more children and young people.
