Beat The Moon · 19 September 2009

The Balfour Beatty Charitable Trust was formed for the Group's centenary year. It funds projects which raise the aspiration, motivation and quality of life amongst young people suffering from disadvantage.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Beat the Moon Scotland teams JustGiving page.

We are aiming to cycle 10 miles, climb Scafell Pike, canoe 1 mile, run 1 mile and all before the moon appears and the sun sets!!

We are raising money for Building Better Futures the Balfour Beatty chosen charity for 2009. This is made up of 2 charities - Action for Children and the Princes Trust.

Action for Children supports children and young people plus their families who are affected by poverty, neglect or disabiliy and help them achieve their full potential in life.

The Princes Trust helps people ages 14 - 30 who are underachieving in education, leaving care, offenders or ex-offenders take responsibilty for themselves. They offer practical and financial support to enable these young people to make a fresh start.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks
