To celebrate another successful year in the club's history, the members of Beaumont Running Club successfully staged a 24 hour running relay round Thornton Reservoir in Leicestershire.  Starting at 18.00 (6pm) on Friday 20 June, pairs or small groups of runners ran in a non-stop relay until 6pm on Saturday 21 June i.e. 24 hours of continuous running in aid of LOROS, the Leics and Rutland hospice.  One member ran just over 100 miles in 24 hours by himself (see www.justgiving.com/noelfowler) and another member celebrated his 60th birthday by running 60 miles.  The weather was kind on the whole and we are very grateful to Severn Trent for letting us use their facilities.
