Last year I participated in my first Triathlon at Blenheim Palace in order to raise money and awareness for Thinking of Oscar.  Fifty of us competed and the atmosphere and support was amazing and a true credit to Hannah and David Cole.  So, I am back again this year because who could possibly say no to swimming 750m in a cold green lake, jumping onto a road bike and cycling 20k (oh yes I have kissed my hybrid good bye and I am now on cleats!) and then run 5k effortlessly around the lake.  Any support from you all would be truly kind and very much appreciated from Thinking of Oscar.  Please come and support us all on Sunday 5th June if you can, we will proudly be wearing our blue and yellow Thinking of Oscar team kit.  I look forward to seeing some of you on the day.

About Thinking of Oscar:

Thinking of Oscar was founded in memory of Oscar Noah Cole who died suddenly and unexpectedly aged only 16 months in June 2014. The objective of the charity is to improve the experiences of young children and their families whilst in hospital care.  So far we have funded a set of vein finders into the John Radcliffe Children's hospital. The aim is to complete the funding of a new children's procedures unit which will mean that children who would otherwise have had to be admitted to the main hospital for procedures which are routine from a medical point of view but may not feel that way as a parent or child, will now be able to be treated within the Children's hospital.
