I'm walking at Shine London in the fight against childrens' cancers

Shine London in the fight against children's cancer · 29 September 2012 ·
Hey guys,
This year we have watched very dear friends face every parents worst nightmare, a child diagnosed with Leukemia. We have seen the daily fight that they all, and in particular little Vega have had to put up to beat this disease, and I have had a permenant lump in my throat as I've watched how brave and strong Vega and her family have been through the whole thing!
We have decided to walk a half marathon to raise money for further research into making cancer history - help us by donating anything you can spare...a pound will do - no donation too small (or too big! ;o) Lets keep raising money in the hope that one day - we will finally get rid of the big C!
Help to beat children's cancers.
Thank you for visiting my Shine fundraising page in support of children's cancer research. Please dig deep and sponsor me – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.
Today around three-quarters of children with cancer are successfully treated. In the 1960s it was just a quarter. Cancer Research UK's many successful clinical trials on children’s cancer have helped to transform the outlook for these children and their families. But around 300 children a year still lose their lives to the disease, so their groundbreaking work has to continue.
Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you. By sponsoring me you can help more children survive cancer.
Every pound you donate really does make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating children's cancers – so please sponsor me now!
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Together we will beat cancer.
