I am fundraising for the fantastic charity Momentum who support children with cancer and other long term illnesses and their families by doing a Tandem Skydive on 8th May; falling to earth from 10,000 feet at 120mph!
Working as a Paediatric Nurse at Kingston Hospital in Surrey for 3 years, I have seen first hand this charity's fantastic work. They support patients and their families through diagnosis and their 2-3 year long treatment. It is difficult seeing patients and their families through their most vulnerable times but is wonderful hearing the stories of how Momentum has helped them through.
The current project is to renovate the children's ward with a specialist Chemotherapy Room with comfortable chairs, toys and flashing walls. This will help young children overcome their fears of having difficult and painful procedures during their treatment.
It is a fantastic charity, helping local children in their darkest hour.
